Abstract: This paper analyzes the significance of mine gas grade identification, that is, dividing the mine into different gas grades, selecting different grades of explosion-proof equipment, selecting different technical protective equipment and implementing different ventilation gas management systems according to the air volume required for different supply of mine gas grades, and implementing graded management, which is economical, reasonable, safe and reliable to ensure mine safety production. According to the commonly used gas grade identification methods, the factors affecting the identification results are analyzed. Through the comparison of a large number of identification data, the analysis and research shows that the identification time, mine output and calculation method are the three main factors affecting the identification results. The problems easily occurred in the appraisal process are analyzed, mainly including the layout of appraisal measuring points, the analysis of mine gas source is not specific, the test of mine air volume data is not accurate, the calculation results of mine gas appraisal are wrong, and the influence of mining geological factors on gas emission is not considered. According to the influencing factors, this paper puts forward three corresponding countermeasures to improve understanding, strengthen organization and leadership and improve training quality, which has certain guiding significance to improve the accuracy of appraisal results.

Abstract: The article presents brief information about drilling wells on the shelf of the seas and oceans. Wells for various purposes are distinguished in modern offshore drilling. The specificity of the construction of wells on the shelf of the seas and oceans (technical means, technologies) is considered, an attempt is made to generalize materials in this direction, in particular, the main trends and rational directions of development of equipment and technologies for drilling offshore wells for various purposes. The introduction provides brief information about the continental shelf, oil and gas wells on the shelf of the seas and oceans, the process of drilling wells and, in general, the importance of the development of world energy markets in the development of oil and gas resources. The materials and methods describe the main drilling rigs and methods of their operation. In modern offshore drilling, wells are distinguished by their geological targets. The results summarize the analysis of the main parameters in the drilling of oil and gas wells, where the process is influenced by natural, technical and technological factors. In conclusion, the results of the analytical work carried out are summarized. The conclusion is made about the economic feasibility of drilling offshore wells for oil and gas.

Abstract: The Dahomey Embayment, made up of a series of coastal basins, is one of the petroleum provinces of the Gulf of Guinea. Its central part, represented by the coastal sedimentary basin of Benin, contains sediments of Paleozoic to Late Quaternary age. The present study based on geological and geochemical data, analyzed by a multidisciplinary interpretative approach, aims at highlighting the petrographic specificities and the petroleum potential of the Neocomian age deposits of the Benin coastal basin. This approach made it possible to obtain significant results. Thus, the microscopic study of about ten samples of the formation revealed that it consists of clays, silty clays and sandstone. In addition to the presence of minerals indicating the metamorphic and magmatic origin of the sediments, certain clayey levels contain organic matter and others, particular stratifications that may favour the migration of hydrocarbons. The geochemical results from the pyrolysis at Rock-Eval6 of twenty-two clay samples showed that they are source rocks with a good petroleum potential (TOC between 0.35 and 3.36%) and mature with Tmax values between 435°C and 448°C. The kerogen of the source rock is of type II and II/III with S2 and HI values which vary respectively from 1.2 to 11.2mgHC/g rock and 102 and 518mgHC/g TOC. These results (petrographic and geochemical) show the specificities and petroleum potential of the Neocomian deposits in the Benin coastal sedimentary basin.
